An ocean inlet into Chatham, MA that ends behind the town's center is called Mill Pond. On Mill Pond there's a dock where Chatham's courtesy dinghy is moored. Boaters can pull up to the dock, let off their passenger's, and take their boat with the dinghy in tow to a nearby raft to moor their boat. After hooking up to the raft the boater uses the dinghy to get back to the dock to join their passengers for a day of shopping and visiting Chatham's downtown restaurants.
