On this day I went to the beach at Claflin Landing, Chatham, MA for sunrise. There was a tropical storm off North Carolina heading our way so I hoped to capture the last sunrise we'd see for a few days. It was the best dawn and sunrise I ever witnessed. As I stood on the beach everything around me, including me, was orange. As I stood there in amazement I thought, "Oh my, the windmill!" I ran from the beach and up Shore Road to capture this image. I had to calm my breathing so I wasn't shaking. The windmill was a working lighthouse in the 1800's and supplied the locals with cornmeal.
